DESCRIPTION: Original Hard to find WW2 Royal Australian Army Mark II Brodie Helmet - Rimless - British MK2. The helmet is clearly dated 1941 on both chinstrap posts and is marked as a size 7 1/4 on the shell and on the liner. Condition is 100% WW2 original textured mud brown paint possibly painted for North African campaign. The original tan canvas chinstrap completes the piece and is nicely marked ER (Elizabeth Regina) with the British government property arrow that has been used since the 1600's. You can find a lot of rimmed British helmets from WW2 but Australian rimless versions are rather difficult to come by as Australian infantry soldiers were far fewer in number in comparison to the UK Motherland.
