Here is a beautiful find right out of a private home belonging to non-collectors. Just the kinds of lids you want to see that haven’t prostituted themselves over the decades constantly appearing at the military shows and dealer websites. This is your quintessential mid war front line helmet with a near perfect textbook ET Heer eagle. The original liner remains in place and the paint finish is somewhat smoother and less textured than other factories and has a more reflective finish than rival factories such as EF or HKP. However upon closer inspection it appears more likely that at some point after the war the owner used a thin clear protective layer in an attempt to preserve both the decal and overlying paint. Still a very historical and near mint representation of a German mid war fighting helmet with a near flawless Heer decal.
