This is a great clean and untouched example of a mid war M40 Luftwaffe single decal helmet with a near mint liner and about 98% original paint. The rear lot number appears to be 31419 suggesting 1943 as the year of production. The chinstrap is original and untouched and has been field shortly by a few holes and is snugly pulled over the front brim appearing to have been like that for a very long time and so I made no attempt to pull it over preferring to allow it to remain in place. The decal is absolutely stunning and your typical factory produced Quist with a tiny black dot over the right wing. This one is about as nice as it was when it first left the factory!!!
